Four schools and colleges, along with SUNY-ESF, SUNY Upstate Medical, and the Onondaga County Coroner's Office, are working together to develop a forensic science program of national stature and recognition. Unique to SU's forensic program is a semester-long practicum in forensic science, co-taught by the Onondaga County chief medical examiner.
