The Post-Standard reported on the Near Westside Initiative being named a finalist for a share of $15 million in arts money to be given out by a national consortium of public and private foundations.

CBS News.com, Huffington Post (UK), Gothamist, News 11 in Atlanta, and Syracuse.com highlighted the viral video of iSchool junior Sam Morrison and his success in doing a back flip every day for a year.

The Post-Standard previewed the First Iron Fork Competition on Jan. 29. The Department of Public Health, Food Studies and Nutrition in the David B. Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics has partnered with the Syracuse Rescue Mission to present the event.

David Cay Johnston, distinguished visiting lecturer in the SU College of Law, authored a Reuters column on Mitt Romney and tax saving advice, and this column is referenced in the Columbia Journalism Review. He also appeared on Politics Nation, "CNN Politics" and SiriusXM radio's POTUS with Pete Domanick to discuss the Republican candidate's tax history.
