The Associated Press and Buffalo News reported on Robert Odawi Porter, professor of law in the Syracuse University College of Law, winning the Seneca Nation of Indians presidency.

Students in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications engaged in the Democracy in Action project covered individual election stories around Central New York Tuesday in collaboration with the Post-Standard.


Menachem Z. Rosensaft, distinguished visiting lecturer at Syracuse University College of Law, authored a Washington Post “On Faith” column on reason and faith as essential elements of the human condition.

Jeffrey Stonecash, professor of political science in the Maxwell School and College of Arts and Sciences, offers commentary for a Buffalo News editorial on New York’s recent past governors. He is also quoted in AM NY on New York’s next governor.

Grant Reeher, professor of political science in the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, spoke with Jim Reith on WSYR-AM Tuesday about local and national political races and election predictions. He also commented in the Buffalo News on Carl Paladino’s gubernatorial defeat.
