William Banks, Board of Advisors Distinguished Professor and director of the Institute for National Security and Counterterrorism in the College of Law and the Maxwell School, is quoted in a New York Times article about the legal challenge to the Obama administration mounted by the American Civil Liberties Union and the Center for Constitutional Rights regarding the designation of Muslim cleric Anwar al-Awlaki for capture or killing by the CIA.
David Cay Johnston, distinguished visiting lecturer in the College of Law and Whitman School of Management, authored a Tax.com report on the nanny tax issue. A New York Times article about the economic impacts of informal employment cited this and earlier coverage of Johnston’s comments on the issue.
Eric Kingson, professor of social work in the College of Human Ecology’s School of Social Work, was interviewed by The Atlantic on Social Security reforms under consideration by President Obama’s National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform and co-authored a Washington Post letter to the editor on Social Security and the national debt.
