Harriet Brown, assistant professor of magazine journalism in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, contributed to the New York Times “Room for Debate” column on health and behaviors and losing weight.

The announcement that JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon will deliver the 2010 Commencement address was covered by the Post-Standard, WSYR-TV and WSYR-AM.

Amit Taneja, associate director of the Syracuse University LGBT Resource Center, is quoted in a Post-Standard City Neighbors story on planning for a community LGBT support center.

WSYR-AM reported on science equipment donated to Blodgett and Danforth schools through the SRC-LCS Engineering Ambassadors program.


Robert Thompson, director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture in the Newhouse School, is quoted in Metro International on a new, 24-hour National Geographic channel devoted to wildlife.
