Milton Mueller, professor in the School of Information Studies (iSchool), is quoted in a CNSNews.com article about accusations of an incident of censorship by United Nations officials regarding criticism of China during opening day of the Internet Governance Forum.

“The Future of Funny” panel discussion held as part Syracuse University’s celebration of launching its Los Angeles semester program was reviewed in The New York Times. The panel was presented by the Newhouse School in conjunction with The New Yorker and Conde Nast Publications.

Robert Thompson, director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, commented in an Associated Press story about the celebrity of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor and in a Toronto Star Star article on the marketing of “second-wave Palinism.”

Michael Barkun, professor of political science in the Maxwell School, was quoted in a CNN story about preparing for the apocalypse and release of the movie “2012.”

ABC News on Campus reported on preparations for and events during SU’s Remembrance Week in commemoration of Pan Am Flight 103 victims.

COLAB’s three-day “Work-Play-Stay” charrette with faculty and students from Cornell, University of Rochester and SU was covered by WXXI (Rochester).

Near West Side green home construction of the “Live Work Home” project was noted in the Post-Standard “Green Central New York” magazine. The project, followed by a Syracuse.com blog, is one of three resulting from the School of Architecture’s “From the Ground Up: Innovative Green Homes” design competition. Also, Chris McCray, assistant professor in the College of Visual and Performing Arts, is quoted in a Post-Standard story on the sale of “Live Work Home.”

The Syracuse University Drama Department production of two Eugene Ionesco absurdist plays was reviewed by the Post-Standard.
