Tiffany Kirkland named associate director of communications for enrollment management

KirklandTiffany Kirkland has been named associate director of communications for enrollment management at Syracuse University. In this position, Kirkland will assist the executive director of communications in the development and implementation of the Division of Enrollment Management’s marketing and communications plans. This will include brand and messaging management for Undergraduate Admissions, Financial Aid and the Registrar's Office, inclusive of print collateral, media purchases, promotional materials and video projects.   

Kirkland will begin by assuming responsibility for the design and production of all Undergraduate Admissions (UGA) print collateral, working closely with staff to learn production schedules and processes. Additionally, she'll assume responsibility for the coordination and execution of UGA advertising/media strategy plans inclusive of print ads, editorial and directory listings. 

Kirkland comes to SU from the College Board in Reston, Va., where she was director of corporate marketing, higher education specialist. In that capacity, she drove strategy and execution of College Board campaigns across many demographics. She also oversaw media and publication development, and national event marketing and coordination. Prior to that, she served as director of communications at Oglethorpe University, where she coordinated branding efforts and supported public relations. She is also an experienced writer with an M.B.A. from Oglethorpe University and a bachelor’s degree in speech and communications studies from Clemson University.
