Due to the unstable situation in Cairo, and for the safety of its students, Syracuse University has suspended its program at the American University of Cairo and instructed the four students currently there to leave the country. The U.S. government is arranging flights for Americans in Egypt to various locations in Europe, and the students will take the earliest possible flight out of the country.

SU Abroad has been and continues to be in regular contact with the students and their families, and the students report that they are safe. The University continues to support them as they leave the area and resume their studies in other countries or on campus.

More information will be posted as it’s available.
