The Real Estate Club in the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University will host a luncheon and guest lecture by Edward Pettinella ‘76 M.B.A., president and CEO of Home Properties (HME), a publicly traded real estate investment trust, on Thursday, April 22, at noon in Room 525 of the Whitman School building.
HME engages in the ownership, operation, acquisition, development and redevelopment of residential communities across the United States. The company has close to 38,000 apartment units under various forms of ownership in various major markets in the country.
The event is free and open to SU students, faculty and staff.
Prior to joining HME, Pettinella worked in several executive-level management positions with Rochester-based financial institutions, including Rochester Community Savings Bank, Charter One Financial and RCSB Financial. In 1991, Pettinella was named director of HME. In 2004, he was promoted to his current position, in which he is responsible for the oversight, management and strategic direction of the company.
Pettinella serves on several boards, including for the Rochester Business Alliance, The Lifetime Healthcare Companies, National Multi Housing Counsel, United Way of Greater Rochester, the SUNY College at Geneseo Foundation, the Whitman School and the YMCA of Greater Rochester.
