Meyer oversees and coordinates Deutsche Bank’s media relations, internal communications and brand communications throughout North and Latin America. He also serves as head of media relations for the Americas and is responsible for the bank’s interaction with media around corporate reputation issues, special situations and crisis communications.
Meyer joined Deutsche Bank in January 2001 as a vice president and press officer. He was named head of media relations for the Americas in 2006 and director and head of communications for the Americas in 2007. He also is a member of Deutsche Bank’s Global Communications Executive Committee and the Americas Operating Committee.

In that capacity, he helped to formulate and implement a strategic public relations program for the company in the United States, Canada and Latin America, with projects including UBS AG’s NYSE listing and its acquisition of PaineWebber.
Meyer began his career as a member of General Electric’s corporate public relations department, where he was part of the team that developed GE’s first external and internal Web presence, including all media relations, investor relations and corporate information content. He later became the primary GE corporate media spokesman on issues such as technology, human resources and labor relations, and worked extensively on GE’s financial communications program. He also worked in employee communications, focusing on developing and disseminating strategic and corporate messages and utilizing emerging technologies for corporate communications.
Meyer graduated from SU with a dual degree in public relations from the Newhouse School and marketing management from the Martin J. Whitman School of Management. He is a member of The Wisemen and the governing body of the CMO Executive Summit, and serves as a communications advisor to Youth About Business.
