Grant Reeher, director of the Campbell Public Affairs Institute at the Maxwell School of Syracuse University, is hosting a new half-hour public affairs show on WRVO. “The Campbell Conversations” airs Fridays at noon and features Reeher conducting in-depth interviews with notable Central New Yorkers—writers, politicians, activists, public officials and business professionals—whose work affects the public life of the community, as well as nationally prominent figures visiting the region.
Upcoming guests include Mark Barie and Joanne Wilder, leaders of the “Tea Party” movement (April 9); Syracuse Mayor Stephanie Miner (April 16); and New York State Assemblywoman Joan Christensen (April 23).
“In ‘The Campbell Conversations,’ we try to provide the extra space for the depth I am always hungering for as a listener,” Reeher says. “I hope listeners will find the guests’ commentary as interesting as I do when I have the privilege of talking with them.”
“WRVO is pleased to work with Grant Reeher to present new public affairs content,” says Fred Vigeant, program director for WRVO. “’The Campbell Conversations’ provides WRVO listeners with more than the usual talking points from prominent people. We learn how people began serving the public and how the public influenced their work.”
In addition to specific questions for every guest, Reeher ends each interview with the same three questions:
