USGBC's Tracie Hall to speak on 'LEED: What It Takes and Why It Matters' in May 22 seminar

Have you ever wondered what it takes to get a building certified by the U.S. Green Building Council under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System?

Tracie Hall, current executive director of the USGBC New York Upstate Chapter and former director of development at Enable, will discuss "LEED: What It Takes and Why It Matters" on Thursday, May 22, from 8-9:30 a.m. at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo in Syracuse. (Note: This is a change in time for the series, from afternoon to morning.)

"Specifically, I will discuss the road to certification for Syracuse's first LEED Certified Building," says Hall. "My presentation will address the process and lessons learned while working on this exciting project, as well as update the status of the next version of LEED."

The cost of the talk is $15 for USGBC New York Upstate Chapter members and $20 for non-members (cost includes a breakfast buffet starting at 8 a.m.).
