Effective June 1, the Leadership Institute of University College at Syracuse University, under the direction of Dana Hart, will move to Utica College.
The Institute has served Central New York's private and nonprofit sectors providing Web-based programs, corporate training systems and related services to help organizations maximize the potential of their greatest resource: their employees. Concurrent with this change in location, Hart will assume the leadership of Utica College's new Master of Science program in health care administration.
While these progressive changes are anticipated to yield many benefits in the years to come, an immediate impact is expected as a result of the enhanced academic and business connections that Hart will bring to bear on the Institute's work owing to his new position.
"Utica College is excited about the opportunities that Dr. Hart and the Leadership Institute will bring to UC and the Mohawk Valley," says Judith Kirkpatrick, vice president for academic affairs. "We look forward to working with him in offering all the benefits that the Institute brings to the community."
"We wish Dana much success at his new location and look forward to a continued partnership with the Institute," says Bea González, dean of University College.
