The staff of Syracuse University's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Resource Center invites SU and SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry students, faculty and staff to join or support the LGBT Resource Center's team for the 16th annual AIDS Walk/Run on Sunday, June 1, at the Beaver Lake Nature Center. The 5K walk and 10K run both begin at 10 a.m.
The event benefits AIDS Community Resources (ACR), a local nonprofit, community-based organization providing prevention, education and support services to those infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
To participate, e-mail lgbt@syr.edu, call 443-3983 or register online at http://www.aidscommunityresources.com/aidswalk/syracuse/. To join the team, select "Syracuse University LGBT Resource Center and Friends" on the registration page.
Those unable to participate can support fundraising efforts by contributing to the AIDS Walk/Run directly or by sponsoring the team. To support the team, visit http://www.firstgiving.com/process/teamarea/default.asp?did=1739&TeamId=41784&EventId=25146.
