Following is the latest information, as of Wednesday night, from Syracuse University of campus activities following Tuesday's terrorist incidents.
White Ribbons Distributed
The College of Human Services and Health Professions distributed white ribbons today to the University community to wear in support of the victims of Tuesday's terrorist attacks. Ribbons will also be distributed Thursday at the following sites: outside the main entrance to Hendricks Chapel, in the Student Affairs offices in Steele Hall, and at the Schine Student Center and Goldstein Student Center information desks.
SU/ECU Football Game Saturday Rescheduled for Sept. 29
BIG EAST Conference member schools voted unanimously Wednesday that all football conference activity previously scheduled through Sunday, Sept. 16, be rescheduled.
The Syracuse University football game against East Carolina scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 15, at the Carrier Dome will be played on Saturday, Sept. 29. A game time has not been determined. All tickets purchased for the original date will be honored Sept. 29. Call the Carrier Dome Box Office at 1-888-DOMETIX for further information. The regularly scheduled Thursday night "Paul Pasqualoni Radio Show" (8-9 p.m.) will not air on Thursday, Sept. 13. The show will resume on Thursday, Sept. 20.

Also, the U.S. Department of Justice's Office of Victims of Crime has set up a phone line to provide information to families about victims and about services for survivors and their rights: 1-800-331-0075.
South Campus Plans "Evening of Compassion" Thursday
The South Campus Office of Residence Life will sponsor an "Evening of Compassion" Thursday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Goldstein Student Center. Activities will include handing out white ribbons for students to attach to their apartment doors, and an opportunity to write "words of compassion" that will be displayed in the Goldstein Student Center for all to read.
Goldberg Couple and Family Therapy Center Offers Aid to Campus Community
The Goldberg Couple and Family Therapy Center, located in Slocum Hall Room 008, is open and available to aid members of the University community in dealing with the aftermath of Tuesday's events. The center is part of SU's Department of Marriage and Family Therapy. The center's office number is 443-3023. Reminder from the Department of Public Safety
During this time of mourning, members of the University community are reminded to be alert and report suspicious activity to the proper authorities (SU Public Safety or the local police). With respect to suspicious phone calls, the "Call Trace" service is available on all University administrative phone lines and to all students residing on campus who subscribe to Verizon's regular service. To activate the call trace, simply hang up the phone, pick up the receiver again, and dial the feature code 157. A recorded message will follow indicating the status of the trace.
Telefund Suspending Operations for the Week
The Development Office's Telefund is suspending phone solicitation and student caller training for the remainder of the week.
SU Cross Country Meet Canceled
The Syracuse University cross country meet scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 15, has been canceled. "We have canceled the cross country meet due to feelings of respect and concern for what happened yesterday in our country," says SU head cross country and track and field coach Andrew Roberts. "It is a terrible tragedy."
Women's Soccer Versus Albany to be Played as Scheduled Thursday
The women's soccer game between Syracuse University and the University at Albany will be played Thursday, Sept. 13, at 7 p.m. as scheduled. The decision to play the game was made by SU head coach April Kater and Albany head coach Joanna Tomasino. "We recognize the national tragedy at hand, and we're as much a part of it as anyone else," Kater says. "We want to allow our players to deal with this situation in a healthy manner. They need to feel good about themselves, and soccer is part of that for our team members."
SU Women's Volleyball Team Will Play in Weekend Tournament
The Syracuse University women's volleyball team will travel to the University of New Hampshire this weekend for a tournament with Rhode Island, Brown and New Hampshire. The team will travel by bus. "Our thoughts and prayers are with those whose lives have been directly affected by this tragedy," says SU head women's volleyball
coach Jing Pu. "Yesterday the team made the decision to participate in this tournament. We will certainly remain flexible for a student-athlete who may choose not to participate."
