Syracuse University is planning several events to mark the second anniversary of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001:

• Hendricks Chapel will hold an "Interfaith Service of Hope and Remembrance" Sept. 11 at 4 p.m. The chapel will be open and a candle will remain lit throughout the day. People are welcome to stop by the chapel for quiet meditation and reflection. The regularly scheduled noon Catholic Mass will also take place.
  
  
• A social and open mic night will begin Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. in the lounge of Haven Hall. The event will include the unveiling of a Sept. 11 memorial. The memorial is an artistic expression created by students that includes four double-sided panels placed in the lounge windows. The memorial includes different artistic mediums and is meant to convey the emotions of the students regarding the Sept. 11 tragedy. The project was conceived by the Haven Hall Council in 2001 and was completed in May of this year with funds raised by students and donated products and services from the campus and the greater community.
  
  
• Fruits and vegetables harvested from the Sadler Memorial Garden will be prepared and served on Sept. 11 at the 2nd Annual Harvest Dinner. There will be a remembrance ceremony at 6:15 p.m. at the garden followed by the dinner at 6:30. All community members are invited and
  attendees can either use their meal card or buy a ticket for $5 at the

• Light Work is currently exhibiting "After 9/11" by Nathan Lyons. In the 13 months following the tragedy, Lyons made hundreds of photographs in
  New York City and in other cities and towns across the country, looking
  at America's response to this life-changing moment. The Light Work
  Gallery is located in the Robert B. Menschel Media Center, 316 Waverly
  Ave. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday-Friday (closed Saturdays
  and SU holidays). The exhibition will run through Oct. 18. For more
