Syracuse University's Raymond Carver Reading Series begins for the semester Sept. 10 with a poetry reading by James Wagner. The free, public event begins at 5:45 p.m. in Gifford Auditorium, located in Huntington Beard Crouse Hall.
Wagner is the author of a collection of poetry, "The False Sun Recordings." His poems and essays have appeared in American Poetry Review, Denver Quarterly and McSweeney's, as well as numerous other journals and magazines. He is a co-founder of the literary journal 3rd Bed and a graduate of SU's M.F.A. Program in creative writing.
The Raymond Carver Reading Series is supported by The College of Arts and Sciences, the Syracuse University Library Associates, Stephen King, the Dr. Scholl Foundation and The Richard Elman Visiting Writer Fund.
