The Syracuse University Faculty Jazz Septet will open the Fall 2002 Setnor Tuesday Concert Series at 8 p.m. Sept. 3 in the Rose and Jules R. Setnor Auditorium in SU's Crouse College. The concert is free and open to the public.
The concert will feature John Coggiola on trumpet, Joseph Riposo on alto saxophone, William Harris on trombone, William DiCosimo on piano, Darryl Pugh on bass, Josh Dekaney on drums and vocalist Tricia Oney. The group will perform compositions from several jazz periods, including works by Charlie Parker, Thelonius Monk and Tadd Dameron.
The Setnor Tuesday Concert Series is presented by the Rose, Jules R. and Stanford S. Setnor School of Music, College of Visual and Performing Arts and features performances by guest artists, Setnor School of Music faculty or large student ensembles at 8 p.m. every Tuesday in the Setnor Auditorium throughout the fall and spring semesters. The concerts are free and open to the public.
