A collection of the work of the 2002 graduates of SU's College of Visual and Performing Arts master's of illustration and advertising program will be on exhibit from July 31 to Aug. 9 in the University's Shaffer Art Building, Room 120. An opening reception will be held at 7:30 p.m. July 31 in the exhibit room. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
The work was created by 25 graduate students who were enrolled in the Independent Study Degree Master of Arts Program at the College of Visual and Performing Arts/ School of Art and Design. The program, celebrating its 27th year, is designed for a small number of highly motivated graphic arts professionals and teachers who earn a master's degree while continuing to work in their profession full-time. The program combines three, two-week intensive summer sessions on campus with independent work throughout the academic year.
