ABC's national morning program, "Good Morning America," will air a feature on Syracuse University's fourth annual Virtual Intoxication Golf Cart Navigation during its "Weekend Edition" broadcast on Saturday, May 14. The program airs from 7-8 a.m. on local ABC affiliate WIXT-9, and the segment will air at approximately 7:30 a.m. The Golf Cart Navigation event took place last fall on Hendricks Field.

The Virtual Intoxication Golf Cart Navigation helps students understand the danger and impairments of drunk driving as they navigate a golf cart through an obstacle course wearing Virtual Intoxication Goggles. These goggles slightly distort the location of objects and blur visual clarity, simulating a .15 or higher blood alcohol level.

The Virtual Intoxication Golf Cart Navigation is sponsored by the Syracuse University Division of Student Affairs, and co-sponsored by the Substance Abuse Prevention & Health Enhancement Office (S.A.P.H.E.), the Office of Residence Life, RHA, Sadler A.L.I.V.E. and Lawrinson Tower Power.
