Syracuse University will continue its University-wide series of educational forums dealing with the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks and the emerging global crisis. The next installment of The University Forum: The Global Response to Terrorism, will be held from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Oct. 25 in Studio A of Newhouse II. Those attending should use the Waverly Avenue entrance.
The topic for the forum is "United States Foreign Policy in the Middle East: Is This the Key to Peace?" The panelists will be Margaret Hermann, Gerald B. and Daphna Cramer Professor of Global Affairs and director of the Global Affairs Institute at the Maxwell School; Mehrzad Boroujerdi, associate professor of political science in The College of Arts and Sciences and the Maxwell School; and Amos Kiewe, associate dean and associate professor of speech communication in the College of Visual and Performing Arts.
The moderator will be Robert Rubinstein, professor of anthropology and
international relations in the Maxwell School and director of the Program on the Analysis and Resolution of Conflicts (PARC).
A question-and-answer session will follow the forum, which is open to members of the University community and to the general public.
