Carol Kim Masiclat, G'01, has been named associate director of communications for the Division of Student Affairs at Syracuse University. She was
previously assistant director, with a focus on the readySET, SU's new student publication, and a variety of other Student Affairs publications and
news.

"Carol brings to Student Affairs a unique blend of experience in marketing, message design and public relations," says Thomas V. Wolfe, senior vice
president and dean of student affairs. "I look forward to the excellent work we will accomplish with her in this new position."

In her new role, Masiclat will continue to manage Student Affairs communications projects such as the readySET, but will also focus on internal
communications and collaborative projects with other units across campus. She will provide strategic vision and establish standards for the
communications of Division of Student Affairs messages, including a redesign of all of its websites this fall.

Before coming to SU, Masiclat was director of marketing and public relations for The Red House Arts Center, a multi-function arts venue in Armory
Square.

Masiclat holds a bachelor's degree in English literature from the University of Virginia and a master's degree in magazine journalism from the S. I.
Newhouse School of Public Communications.
