The 2008 giving report for The Campaign for Syracuse University is now available online at
http://campaignprogress.syr.edu. Called "Points of Impact," the report covers a year of
giving from Jan. 1-Dec. 31, 2008, and includes a variety of stories about the significant
impact campaign gifts have had on faculty and students. Such highlights include a unique
civil engineering internship program in Dubai made possible by a gift from Abdallah H.
Yabroudi '78, G'79; a multifaceted collaboration between SU and JPMorgan Chase & Co. to
educate a new generation of financial services technology professionals; and updates on the
progress of the Faculty Today gift challenge initiative.

The report also offers:

  • significant campaign statistics, including yearly campaign totals, donor segments
    and gift designation categories;

  • lists of new funds that have been created or significantly increased during the 2008
calendar year (funds established since the inception of the campaign in 2007 are listed
    online at
    http://campaignprogress.syr.edu); and

  • a summary of the year's activity from campaign co-chairs Melanie Gray L'81,
    Deryck A. Palmer '78 and Howard G. Phanstiel '70, G'71.

Searchable listings of donors who have made annual gifts to The Campaign for Syracuse
University in the last two fiscal years (July 1, 2007-June 30, 2009) are also available online at
http://reportofdonors.syr.edu. Lists can be viewed by donor type (parents, current students,
corporations, foundations and organizations); by giving societies (Benefactors, Pathfinders,
Visionaries); by class decade; and by the first letter of the last name. The list can also be
searched for specific names and class years.
