Newhouse School to host Mirror Awards luncheon June 9 in New York City

The media's top writers, readers and leaders will gather to honor winners in the third annual
Mirror Awards competition on Tuesday, June 9, at 11:45 a.m. at the Harmonie Club, 4 E.
60th St., New York City. The awards are sponsored by Syracuse University's
S.I. Newhouse
School of Public Communications

This year's luncheon co-chairs are Betsy Morgan, CEO, The Huffington Post; Devin Wenig,
CEO, Markets Division, Thomson Reuters; and David Zaslav, president and CEO, Discovery
Communications.


Established by the Newhouse School in 2006, the Mirror Awards honor the reporters, editors
and teams of writers who hold a mirror to their own industry for the public's benefit. The
competition is open to anyone who conducts reporting, commentary or criticism of the
media industries in a format intended for a mass audience. Winners are chosen by a group
of journalists and journalism educators.
