Anyone who would like to enroll for Syracuse University courses as a part-time student for the Fall 2002 semester can do so-even though SU closed admissions for full-time freshmen and transfer students on May 9.

Until Friday, Aug. 23, part-time students can register for as many as 11 credits for the fall semester through University College, SU's continuing education division. UC also has limited registration on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 24 and 25.

SU credit courses and classes begin Aug. 26, when UC continues with late registration. UC processes part-time students' admissions applications throughout the year.

Part-time undergraduate and graduate students may enroll in evening, daytime, online and limited residency SU courses. Prior admission to a SU degree program is not required to enroll, however some courses have prerequisites. Most SU courses carry three credits.

Registration and courses dates vary for SU noncredit career certificate programs and enrichment courses.

Prospective part-time students can request a fall course schedule from UC at 315-443-YesU (443-9378) or by e-mail
PartTime@syr.edu. The Web address is http://www.YesU.syr.edu.
