Free workshop series on entrepreneurship, patents planned

Enitiative and the
Office of Technology Transfer and Industrial Development at Syracuse
University are sponsoring the "Innovation to Market Workshop Series," which focuses on
teaching entrepreneurs how to protect their intellectual property assets. Workshops are free
and open to the public.


The next workshop in the series will be held on Thursday, April 30, from noon-1:30 p.m. in
Room 347 of Hinds Hall. This workshop will focus on what you need to know before you
apply for a patent. Lunch will be provided free of charge.

Enitiative awards grants to individuals and organizations launching entrepreneurial
ventures that connect college campuses with the surrounding communities. Enitiative was
made possible through a $3 million, five-year grant from the Kauffman Campuses Initiative,
awarded to SU and a number of academic and community partners. To apply for a grant
