Keith Lippert '78, founding partner of Lippert/Heilshorn (LHA), has been named the
2009 Distinguished Entrepreneur of the Year by the
Falcone Center for
Entrepreneurship in the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University.
Lippert will be honored at the Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises (EEE)
awards ceremony, held on Saturday, April 18, at 6 p.m. in the Flaum Grand Hall in
the Whitman School building. The winners of the annual Panasci Business Plan
Competition will also be announced at the EEE event.
"Every year, the Whitman School, and the EEE department in particular, recognizes
an individual who exemplifies the hard work, passion and commitment it takes to be
a successful entrepreneur," says George Burman, professor of entrepreneurship and
chair of the EEE department. "Keith Lippert embodies the exceptional drive it takes
to start and grow a business. We are pleased to honor him in this way and are proud
to count him among our most accomplished alumni."
Lippert started LHA, an investor relations company, in 1992 after a career as an
account executive in a financial public relations firm. Since its founding, LHA has
built a global client base of more than 100 small-cap emerging growth companies
with market valuations up to $5 billion and has established itself as a specialized
resource for the healthcare and biotech sectors.
Lippert sits on the board of the New York City chapter of the Young President's
Organization and is a member of the Whitman School Advisory Council. In addition
to graduating from SU, he holds an M.B.A. from Adelphi University.
