During the Spring 2003 semester, a random sample of Syracuse University students was selected to participate in the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE), a national study that provides information about students' educational experiences in and out of the classroom. SU uses this information to develop programs and practices to improve the quality of undergraduate programming using student perceptions on a variety of quality of life issues.
To thank students for assisting with this effort, every SU student who completed the survey was entered into a drawing for the opportunity to win one of three Personal Digital Assistants. The winners included two first?year students, Viktoria Raykov and Andrew Apjohn, and senior Lauren Southwick.
