National rap sensation Wale, with The UCB Go-Go Band and special guests Colin
Munroe and J. Cole, are performing live in the Schine Underground on Wednesday,
April 1, at 8 p.m. (doors open at 7:30 p.m.). The event is presented by the
Bandersnatch Music Series.

Tickets are $5 with valid Syracuse University or SUNY College of Environmental
Science and Forestry student, faculty or staff I.D., and $10 for the general public, and
are on sale now at the Schine Box Office (443-4517). Anyone under 18 must be
accompanied by an adult. Parking is in paid visitor lots.

"Wale isn't just any rapper or performer, he is an iconic symbol of talent coupled with
the right mix of know-how and lyricism that makes for a phenomenal rap artist,"
says Bandersnatch Music Series President Andrew Friedman. "He's been mentioned
in publications from Source magazine to The New York Times, but it's his ability to
take hold of a live audience that will really cause a stir with students in the Schine
Underground."

Signed in early 2008 to Interscope/Allido records, Wale went from Internet and
MySpace sensation to the golden boy in the hip-hop music scene after working with
producer/DJ Mark Ronson. His mixtapes "100 Miles And Running" and "The
Mixtape About Nothing" have gained critical acclaim, leading Wale to be named one
of MTV's MC's to watch in '09. The Washington, D.C.-based artist has been featured
in XXL, Source, URB, Rolling Stone and Fader. His current hit new single "Chillin,"
off his upcoming debut album "Attention: Deficit," due this summer, features Lady
Gaga. Wale's new mixtape, "Back To The Feature," will be out in April. For more

underground and emerging artists to play intimate concerts within the Schine
Underground. Previous Bandersnatch shows include Jason Reeves, Wolf Parade, The
Format, Shiny Toy Guns, Styles P, Matt & Kim, Head Automatica and The Hold
