On Sunday, Feb. 22, SYRFILMFEST invites supporters of the festival and cinephiles to The Palace Theatre, 2384 James St., Syracuse, for a glamorous night of fun, food and Oscar watching. The festival office has already taken reservations for 60 percent of the allotted limited tickets for this event.

Beginning at 7 p.m., guests will be greeted at the doors to the Palace by having their picture taken on the red carpet. All guests will receive a raffle ticket, which is good for prize drawings that will take place throughout the evening. Guests will also receive a ballot to use to predict the winners. The three most accurate ballots will receive prizes, including a full festival pass to SYRFILMFEST '09, the Syracuse International Film Festival; movie memorabilia; DVDs; and free movie tickets.

Partygoers will munch on hors d'oeuvres, dessert and all-you-can-eat popcorn as they watch the live telecast on the television in the Palace's upstairs lounge or downstairs on the big screen. A cash bar will also be available.

Admission to the event is $25 and limited to the first 100 guests. Guests will be able to apply the price of their admission to the cost of a full festival pass to SYRFILMFEST '09 if purchased at the Oscar Night Party.

Tickets can be purchased by calling the Syracuse International Film Festival office at 443-8826.
