In conjunction with the Syracuse University Soling Program, Hill Communications
has announced the unveiling of the SU Showcase, to be held on April 21. The event
will be a complete redesign of the academic event formerly known as MayFest.

SU Showcase will contain three anchor events in addition to the traditional events
that have previously made the day a success. The first anchor event will include a
short keynote address by a top-notch speaker. During this address, SU students will
be served a free breakfast.

There will also be a series of academic challenges involving students and professors
from the various schools and colleges within Syracuse University. Teams will
compete against each other in an academic trivia game and a green-art recycling
competition in which students produce artwork using recyclable materials. A student-
professor relay race is also on the schedule. The festivities will conclude with "Orange
Groove," a student-faculty dancing competition.

SU Showcase has also launched a new website at
http://sushowcase.syr.edu/index.htm. Participants, both at the high school and
college levels, can register for SU Showcase events online.

Hill Communications is a student-run public relations firm in charge of rebranding
the event formerly known as MayFest. The SU Soling Program founded what is now
SU Showcase.

Robert Enslin, communications manager in The College of Arts and Sciences, is the
event's official spokesperson. He can be reached at (315) 443-3403.
