Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,
It is with great sadness that I reach out to you today to inform you about the loss of one of our students who died accidentally Saturday afternoon while cutting a tree. Nicholas Glagola, from nearby Marcellus, N.Y., was a junior studying chemical engineering in the L.C. Smith College of Engineering and Computer Science.
A number of resources are available to students, faculty and staff as we deal with this painful loss. The Counseling Center (443-4715), Hendricks Chapel (443-2901), and the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (443-1087) are all available to anyone who feels he or she needs support.
During this very difficult time, our thoughts are with Nicholas' family and those on our campus who knew him.
