Community Folk Art Center seeks teaching artists

The Community Folk Art Center (CFAC) invites all teaching artists to share their
knowledge and expertise as part of the Say Yes to Education after-school program.
CFAC seeks teaching artists in the following subject areas:


  • visual arts (ceramists, painters, sculptors, photography and fiber arts);

  • performing arts (drama, dance and music);

  • literature arts (creative writing, poetry and spoken word; this also includes
    foreign language teachers who can creatively teach language through art);
    and

  • martial arts and other fitness disciplines (such as yoga).


All interested applicants must provide a resume, work samples, a class description
and curriculum agenda, and a sample lesson plan. All applicants must be
fingerprinted. Pay is commensurate with experience.
