Nominations sought for Syracuse University's 2009 Women of Distinction Awards

Syracuse University's Office of Residence Life and Office of Student Life are seeking
nominations for the 2009 Women of Distinction Awards.


Successful nominations should demonstrate the nominee's outstanding achievements
in the areas of leadership, academics, service/social justice and efforts within their
chosen or anticipated profession. Awards are given in three categories: student
(undergraduate or graduate); faculty and staff; and community member (Francis
McMillan Parks Award).


The awards ceremony will take place on Friday, March 20, at 3 p.m. in Goldstein
Auditorium in the Hildegarde and J. Myer Schine Student Center.


Nomination forms and more information on nomination criteria are available at
http://studentlife.syr.edu/events/womensleadership.aspx. Nominations are due to
Michelle Singletary, assistant director in the Office of Residence Life, by 5 p.m. on
Friday, Feb. 6. They may be submitted to Singletary at the Office of Residence Life,
111 Waverly Ave., Suite 200, or to msinglet@syr.edu.
