Bill Rancic, the first winner on NBC's "The Apprentice" and founder of
CigarsAroundtheWorld.com, will speak at the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse
University on Monday, Nov. 17. The lecture, focused on entrepreneurship, will take place at
6 p.m. in the Lender Auditorium, located on the concourse level of the Whitman building. It
is free and open to the public.
Rancic holds a B.S. degree from Loyola University. He appeared on and won "The
Apprentice" in 2004 and subsequently elected to take charge of the construction of the
Trump Tower Chicago in his native Chicago, on the site of the demolished Chicago Sun-
Times building. After his one-year contract expired, Rancic remained part of the Trump
Organization, occasionally appearing as a judge on "The Apprentice." He has also gone on
to co-host "In the Loop with iVillage" and the A&E reality show "We Mean Business." He is
also a real estate developer and designs properties under Bill Rancic Homes.
Rancic's visit to Whitman is sponsored by the E-club, which encourages the spirit of
entrepreneurship among SU students and supports the needs of students who are interested
in entrepreneurship.
