Syracuse University College of Law welcomes Adam Candeub, associate professor at
Michigan State University School of Law, for its Faculty Colloquium Series,
Thursday, Nov. 13, at 11:45 a.m. in the Heritage Alumni Lounge in E.I. White Hall.
A well-known scholar in administrative, health and communications law, Candeub
will speak on his article "Warranty-Based Medicine: A Modest Proposal," suggesting
that a warranty be implied in every medical transaction-health-care providers
would have to guarantee a result: unless they succeed, they would not get paid.
The College of Law's Faculty Colloquium Series features prominent legal scholars at
the forefront of their academic fields. Colloquium speakers reflect the College of
Law's dedication to furthering innovative research and fostering communication both
within the legal academy and across disciplines.
The next speaker, Alyssa DiRusso of Cumberland School of Law at Samford
University, will present "Power and Passivity: Women, Non-Whites, and Wills" on
Jan. 26, 2009.
