This year, some 8,400 daffodil bulbs will be delivered for the Westcott Neighborhood
Bulb Project: 5,400 for the first 300 people to show up for the bulb giveaway day and
an additional 3,000 to be planted by neighborhood organizations.

The Bulb Giveaway/Garden Extravaganza will be held Saturday, Oct. 4, from 10
a.m.-2 p.m. at the Westcott Community Center, co-partner of the project, at the
corner of Euclid Avenue and Westcott Street. All city residents are welcome to enjoy a
festival filled with crafters, landscapers, a children's pumpkin sale by Syracuse Real
Food Coop, food, entertainment, presentations and other activities.

Any resident from the Westcott neighborhood can pick up a free packet of 18 mixed
daffodil bulbs as long as the recipients are willing to plant the bulbs where they can
be seen from the street for all to enjoy. Compost is donated by Toad Hollow Farms
(please bring your own container), and planting instructions will be available.
