"The Ivory Tower Half Hour," a weekly WCNY-TV show that provides commentary on local, regional
and national news and politics, will tape in front of a live audience on Friday, Sept. 19, at 9 a.m. in
the Joyce Hergenhan Auditorium, Newhouse 3, on the Syracuse University campus. The taping is
free and open to the public. Parking is available in SU pay lots.
Hosted by David Rubin, professor and former dean of SU's S.I. Newhouse School of Public
Communications, "Ivory Tower" features faculty discussing a range of subjects, both local and global
in nature. Panelists include Kristi Andersen, professor of political science in SU's Maxwell School;
Tim Byrnes, professor of political science at Colgate University; Lisa Dolak, associate dean of SU's
College of Law; Rogan Kersh, associate dean at New York University; Bob Greene, the Paul J.
Schupf Professor of History and Humanities at Cazenovia College; Tara Ross, professor of history
at Onondaga Community College; and Bob Spitzer, Distinguished Service Professor of Political
Science at the SUNY College at Cortland.
A question-and-answer session with the panelists will follow the taping.
