Gary Radke, professor of fine arts at Syracuse University, and Domenic Iacono, director of the SUArt Galleries, are the featured presenters at the next Institute for Retired Professionals (IRP) event, Thursday, April 17, from noon-1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Syracuse, 5833 East Seneca Turnpike, Jamesville.

They will discuss "Michelangelo, the Man and the Myth," an exhibition hosted by SUArt Galleries Aug. 12-Oct. 19 in Syracuse and Nov. 4-Jan. 4, 2009, at the Palitz Gallery, 11 E. 61st St., Manhattan.

The exhibition includes more than a dozen original drawings and writings by the Renaissance master Michelangelo Buonarroti (1475-1564), some never before seen in the United States.

Refreshments are served at the IRP gathering, and all interested citizens are encouraged to attend.
