Students, faculty and staff will make strides in the fight against cancer this weekend by
walking in the SU/SUNY-ESF Relay For Life event at the Carrier Dome. Beginning
March 29 at 8 p.m. and continuing through 7 a.m. on March 30, participants will take turns
walking around the Dome to raise awareness and funds for cancer research, education,
advocacy and patient services. In Relay For Life, an American Cancer Society signature
event, teams of at least six people camp out at a community site and raise money by
walking. So far, 183 teams are registered to take part in the SU/SUNY-ESF event, and
more than $95,000 has already been raised. More information.
