Syracuse University Ambulance (SUA) was awarded a "Striving for Excellence in Campus Emergency Medical Services" award by the National Collegiate Emergency Medical Services Foundation (NCEMSF) at the annual NCEMSF meeting, held in Philadelphia Feb. 29-March 2. SU Ambulance is part of SU Health Services, a principal unit of the Division of Student Affairs.
The award is presented in recognition for quality in the delivery of patient care, high standards of professional education, and service to the community. SUA was represented at the annual meeting by eight SU student volunteers and Carl Cowan, SUA communications dispatcher.
The award is granted for a three-year period, and SUA has been the proud recipient of this award for the past 12 years.
