The Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University will host a guest lecture by David Roefaro, the mayor of Utica, on March 26 at 7 p.m. in room 203 of the Whitman School building.
Roefaro's lecture, "Entrepreneurship and the Road to Politics," is free and open to the public. Paid parking is available at the University Avenue Garage. His visit is sponsored by Delta Sigma Pi, the international business fraternity housed in the Whitman School.
Roefaro was elected the 75th mayor of the City of Utica in 2007. He has owned and operated Scala and Roefaro Funeral Home, his family business, for more than 23 years. He has also served on the Utica City School Board and was an at-large member of the City of Utica Common Council from 2003-07. He holds degrees from Herkimer County Community College and Simmons College.
