The Whitman School of Management's student team BSApp has advanced to the second round in the University of Nebraska's 21st Annual New Ventures World Competition. Chosen from among almost 100 competing teams nationwide, BSApp will present its business plan along with 11 other undergraduate teams from schools and colleges from around the world.

Team BSApp is made up of Whitman students Greg Ackerman, Rachel Baumann, Michelle Caruso and Jaclyn Casavant. Their business idea is to create a service that coordinates, facilitates and enhances the graduate management admissions process by offering a one-stop online location for submitting applications. The team is led by Neil Tarallo, assistant professor of entrepreneurship practice in the Whitman School.

The 21st Annual New Ventures World Competition improves the chances of entrepreneurial success by exposing students to quality feedback, investment opportunities, and a chance to see some of the most competitive and innovative entrepreneurial enterprises in the world. Undergraduate teams compete for a first place prize of $4,000. The competition will take place April 10-12 in Lincoln, Neb.
