SU law students continue to have one of the most successful seasons in the College of Law's trial team history. On Feb. 10, third-year students Olatokunbo Olaniyan, Rafiel D. Warfield and Joseph Nosse, and second-year student Jennifer Brooks defeated St. John's University School of Law in the National Trial Competition regional championship in White Plains, N.Y. Olaniyan was named Best Advocate in the tournament.
In the second championship round, another SU team composed of third-year student Stephanie Dellinger, and second-year students James Flynn, Jeffrey Schiano and Sean Costello tied for third in the tournament.
The winning team of Olaniyan, Warfield, Nosse and Brooks advances to the national championship round in Austin, Texas, March 26-29. The nationwide tournament is sponsored by the Texas Young Lawyers Association.
