The Syracuse University Career Services Network's annual Spring Career Expo offers opportunity to engage with more than 115 employers who will be gathered Thursday, Feb. 7, from 10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. in the Hildegarde and J. Myer Schine Student Center.

The career fair provides local college students and college alumni, as well as the Syracuse community, a chance to network, explore career options and connect with a diverse group of employers for internship and full-time opportunities.

Orange Sponsors for the fair are JPMorgan Chase, Macy's Inc. and Saatchi & Saatchi Healthcare Communications Group, with supporting Blue Sponsorship by PricewaterhouseCoopers and JCPenney.

This year's fair features many well-known organizations that have a strong history of hiring SU students, including CIGNA, ESPN, the FBI, GEICO, General Electric, IBM, JPMorgan Chase, KPMG, Lockheed Martin, Microsoft, the Peace Corps, Target, Teach for America and Wegmans.

Also present will be a wide range of employers who are either new or reconnecting with SU this year, including Allen Lund Co., AT&T, Element K, Chico's FAS, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Computer Sciences Corp., CVS/pharmacy; the Defense Intelligence Agency, Entergy Nuclear, Eze Castle Software, Gander Mountain, Restaurant Associates, Saatchi & Saatchi Healthcare Communications Group, Under Armour and Urban Outfitters.

SU's Center for Career Services will host several events to help individuals prepare for the fair, including a "How to Succeed at Career Fair" workshop on Wednesday, Feb. 6, at 4 p.m. in Room 228B in the Schine Student Center. This workshop will be co-presented by David Szopinski '97, an SU alumnus currently working at Bloomberg LP, and Debi Walker, assistant director in the Center for Career Services.

The center also is hosting "Resumes Gone Wild," sponsored by Target, an opportunity for individuals to have their resumes critiqued by recruiters from Target, Bloomberg, CIGNA, First Investors Corp., Macy's Inc., NII Brokerage, TJX and Travelers. "Resumes Gone Wild" is Wednesday, Feb. 6, from noon-2:30 p.m.; students can drop by the Career Services office in Room 235 in the Schine Student Center to have their resume critiqued.
