The Syracuse Symphony Orchestra (SSO), a community partner with Syracuse University's Pulse performing arts series, invites members of the campus community to a special behind-the-scenes sneak preview of the 2008 Alliance Bank Beethoven Festival. The SSO will host an open rehearsal on Thursday, Jan. 17, at 2 p.m. in the Ann and Alfred R. Goldstein Auditorium, located in the Hildegarde and J. Myer Schine Student Center. Admission to the rehearsal is free; no tickets are required. Parking is available in SU pay lots.

Under the direction of SSO music director Daniel Hege, the symphony will practice pieces from the Beethoven Festival, including Symphony No. 3 "Eroica" and Piano Concerto No. 2.
