Dinner tickets for Syracuse University's 23rd annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration, to be held Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008, in the Carrier Dome, are currently on sale.
This year's program-"King's Challenge: Can We Live Peacefully in a Violent World?"-will feature keynote speaker Barbara Ransby, a historian, writer and longtime political activist; the presentation of the 2008 Unsung Heroes Awards; and entertainment. The program portion of the event, beginning at 6:30 p.m., is free and open to the public.
The dinner precedes the event at 5:30 p.m. Dinner tickets are $20 for the general public and $13 for students without meal plans. Students with meal plans will be charged for one dinner.
