"'Pint-Sized' Stars: Feminist Film Studies and the Girl Celebrity" is topic on Nov. 29

The Department of Communication and Rhetorical Studies in Syracuse University's College of Visual and Performing Arts will present the talk "'Pint-Sized' Stars: Feminist Film Studies and the Girl Celebrity" with Sarah Projansky of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) on Thursday, Nov. 29, at 4 p.m. in Room 500 of the Hall of Languages.


Projansky is an associate professor of gender and women's studies in UIUC's Cinema Studies Unit. Her books include "Watching Rape: Film and Television in Postfeminist Culture" (NYU Press, 2001) and "Enterprise Zones: Critical Positions on `Star Trek'" (Westview, 1996).
