On Wednesday, Oct. 31, Syracuse University helped United Way of Central New York celebrate the halfway mark of its 2007 campaign with a check in the amount of $75,408. Eric Spina, SU's vice chancellor and provost, drove an orange all-terrain vehicle, built by students in the L.C. Smith College of Engineering and Computer Science, to deliver the check to United Way on James Street.

SU's United Way campaign continues with scheduled fundraising events on campus, including bake sales, a rummage sale and the new Trim a Wreath Competition.
