A sneak preview screening of the new film "American Gangster" will take place Friday, Oct. 19, at 6 p.m. in Gifford Auditorium on the SU campus.
The new crime drama starring Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe, is scheduled for national release on Nov. 2. It chronicles the rise of crime boss Frank Lucas (Washington), a once-shy driver turned drug lord. Hot on his trail is detective Richie Roberts (Crowe), a renegade cop bent on bringing down Lucas and his empire.
The event is presented by University Union and Universal Pictures. It is free and open to the public; parking after 5 p.m. is free in any ungated campus lot.
